Belk, Inc. Sponsors Gift Makeover to Birmingham Youth Advocate Lauren Banks

The big day has finally arrived! Lauren Banks, child advocate and Executive Director of YouthServe will soon arrive at Belk Riverchase Galleria for a gift makeover, compliments of Belk.

Lauren was chosen to receive the makeover because of her tireless community service and her special love and work with children in Birmingham City Schools.

The gift makeover will include three complete outfits styled by Belk Vice-President of Trend Merchandising and Fashion Direction, Arlene Goldstein. Goldstein, a Birmingham native is flying in from Charlotte today for the special event. Lauren will also receive a complete salon experience from the talented master stylists at Richard Joseph SalonSpa and cosmetics by MAC.

Lauren has been chosen by her peers as a delegate to the Democratic National Convention 2012 in Charlotte, NC, which is also headquarters to Belk, Inc.  Lauren’s three gift outfits from Belk will reflect her duties at the DNC. One casual outfit, one glam party outfit and one business outfit.

It’s Belk’s way of showing their appreciation to Lauren for her work with children and another way to show that Southern Hospitality that Charlotte is so famous for.
